For the sales orders , in the delivery document the item category at the schedule lines is blank.Thus the picking and PGI of these deliveries was not possible.
Solution Analysis and Recommendations

After analysis of the deliveries the issue was found that due to change in item category group in the material master while creating these deliveries.
All the materials in the deliveries has an item category group BANC in the MM. The sales orders are created with item category TAN and before creating deliveries the item category group in the MM is changed from BANC to BANS. So when the deliveries are created the standard SAP checked the entries with LF+BANS+CHSP in T184 table. As there won’t be any entries maintained in the T184 table for BANS , the item category for the schedule lines were blank.
Resolution
Replicated the issue in NECNED500 and created a delivery by changing the item category group from BANC to BANS. We can delete these deliveries in NEP, allocate the SO’s and create new deliveries .
